    Workshop

Critical Appraisal of the Prehospital Literature

    Location

Centre for Prehospital Research, University of Limerick, Ireland

    Cost

    €25.00

    Review

I attended a Research Workshop on Critical Appraisal of the Prehospital Literature with CPR in the new Graduate Entry Medical School, University of Limerick some time ago and was new to research. The importance of evidence-based practice was becoming clear to me so I booked in for the 1 day course. Cost for the day was €25 and in my estimation that wasn’t even enough to cover the cost of food that was served to us. Well worth the money!

Dr. Damien Ryan (CPR Director) was first up and spoke about the importance of evidence-based practice in the pre hospital field. Very enjoyable.

Dr. Niamh Cummins (CPR Research Manager) followed on with Critical Appraisal and Professor Ailish Hannigan (Professor of Biomedical Statistics ) presented on Statistics for Critical Appraisal. A little heavy but the Prof made it very interesting .

So over all a very friendly bunch, the day was very informative. A lot to take in, but over all they are there to help you and have been a great support since.

Oh did I mention the food was great?
